Tenuta Sette Ponti - Oreno, IGT Central Tuscany
The Estate that has been in family possession since the 1950's is located right in the Chianti region in central Tuscany. Hidden in a beautiful Valley on the edge of the Chianti region called Via dei Sette Ponti - in English, the Sette Ponti Trail. A trail through the Tuscan landscapes, vineyards, olive groves, bridges and rivers. It follows the route from Florence, all the way to the town of Arezzo. Tenuta Sette Ponti is located on the southern end of the trail, around 40 miles south of Florence. Researches find that the hills, rivers, bridges and overall landscapes of the Sette Ponti Trail, where Oreno is produced is what can be seen on the background of the likely most famous painting in the world - the Mona Lisa.

Oreno has a temperature controlled fermentation for 25 days bringing dark ruby red color tinged with decisive violet tones, expresses on the nose incredible sensations of fullness and complexity with a note of ripe berries that give sensations of chocolate and nuances of balsam into this wonderful wine. Strong tannins, rich in structure but decisively dynamic, enhanced by the nuances of new oak and an interminable finish. Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Petit Verdot 10% Oreno ages for 30 months before released for sale, 18 of them in French oak barrels.
